RAM Ratings Week 49: Radio City takes over Mumbai and Bangalore

Week 49 (December 3-9, 2017) of RAM Ratings saw Radio City dominating Mumbai and Bangalore. Meanwhile, Fever and Radio Mirchi took over Delhi and Kolkata respectively.

In the Mumbai Universe of 12.2 million listeners, Radio City led this market with 14.8 per cent. It was followed closely by Big FM and Radio Mirchi with 14.8 per cent and 12.5 per cent respectively. Fever and Red FM took the fourth and fifth spot with 12.4 per cent and 11.8 per cent share. Early morning, followed by mid-morning and morning time band, observed the highest listenership on the total radio.

Fever continued to dominate Delhi (consisting of 16.5 million listeners) with improved 20.4 per cent share. Radio Nasha climbed to second spot with 12.7 per cent while Radio Mirchi took the third spot with 11.1 per cent respectively. Both AIR FM Gold and Radio City shared 10.8 per cent share but took fourth and fifth position respectively. Early morning, followed by night and evening time band, observed the highest listenership.

In Bangalore universe of 5.3 million listeners, Radio City maintained its lead with 24.6 per cent share, followed by Big FM (19.5 per cent) and Radio Mirchi (16.4 per cent). Fever FM retained its fourth spot with 14.4 per cent share. Red FM took the fifth spot with 5.8 per cent share. Mid-morning, followed by e afternoon and evening time band, observed the highest listenership.

In Kolkata Universe of 9.1 million listeners, Radio Mirchi reigned with 20.1 per cent share. It was followed by Big FM and Fever with 18.1 per cent and 15.8 per cent share, respectively. Red FM took the fourth spot with 10.1 per cent while Aamar FM moved to fifth spot with 9.5 per cent share. Afternoon, followed by morning and mid-morning time band, observed the highest listenership.
