The New Indian Express set to launch Delhi edition by Jan 2018

The New Indian Express, an English-language daily newspaper published by Express Publications (Madurai) Limited is set to launch its Delhi edition by January 2018.
Also, Khogen Singh, who is presently Associate Editor at The Hindu, has been appointed as Resident Editor of The New Indian Express and will be joining the office in Delhi from October 9, 2017.
According to a well placed source within the news organisation, the Delhi edition “was expected to be launched in October but had to be postponed till January next year.”
Currently, The Sunday Standard, a weekend edition of The New Indian Express is published from Delhi and has 12 members in the editorial team.
“8-10 more journalists will be recruited to meet the requirement of the Delhi Edition (of The New Indian Express) when it launches,” the source said.
Express Publications (Madurai) Limited, which is the flagship Company of the Group, publishes The New Indian Express from 25 centres in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Odisha.
The company is owned and managed by Manoj Kumar Sonthalia and the Editorial Director of the Group is Prabhu Chawla.
