Surya TV launches new fictional series ‘GOURI’ - a girl who flares like an ember

Surya TV, a leading Malyalam channel, is launching a new fiction series, ‘GOURI’ directed by Venu Chelakkot. Starting January 29th, the show will be featured every evening from Monday to Saturday, 7.00 pm onwards. 

‘GOURI’ is based on a story of the female protagonist whose only priority is her family.  It is about the brave girl, who shoulders the household responsibility and suffers endlessly for the good of her family post the sudden demise of her father.

To protect her sister, GOURI even goes to jail. The character overcomes all the obstacles in her life and keeps moving ahead boldly. GOURI, through her affectionate actions and sincerity aims to bring peace and solace to the lives of the people around her. In the process, she hides her sorrows from all. This is why the protagonist is compared to ember which glows to give light but in the course of action also slowly extinguishes.

The cast lineup for the serial includes leading names like Ms. Navimi Gayak, Ms. Sree Gopika, Ms. Sethu Lakshmi, Mr. Santosh Sasidharan and Mr. Bineesh Bastin among others.
