e4mChillout: SPN’s Uday Sodhi is a self-confessed Goa addict and an over-eater

Any small excuse Uday Sodhi, Executive Vice President and Head - Digital Business - ‎Sony Pictures Networks India Private Limited (SPN), gets, he rushes off to Goa with family to recharge his batteries. Once there, the first thing he looks forward to is visiting new restaurants. Back home in Mumbai movies, shows and dining out help him unplug on weekends. And be it Goa or Mumbai, food remains Sodhi’s first love, whether it’s cooking or even experimenting with new cuisines. This is what he has to say about his eventful weekends:

On a typical weekend you will find me...
watching cricket on TV or watching a new movie or trying out a new restaurant.

My idea of relaxing is...
watching a movie or a show.

One vice I cannot do without...
is eating too much. I love non-vegetarian food and I tend to overdo it. I am fairly experimental and like to try out new restaurants. My favourite cuisine is Indian. Last week when I was in Goa we tried out a few places.

I love a staycation...
10 days back I was in Goa. It is my favourite hangout. Every alternate weekend you will find me there. I am addicted to the place. Every small excuse I get, I run off to Goa.

 I confess, I am...
an overeater and an under-exerciser!

I spend me-time with...
family and in front of the TV screen.

I have been binge-watching...
‘Mentalist.’ I am watching ‘Narcos Season 3’ and am halfway through ‘Hadh.’ I am not a loyalist, more like a bit of this and a bit of that. Before ‘Mentalist’ I was watching ‘Suits.’

I can make a mean...
paranthas and barbequed chicken. In fact, I can make most non-vegetarian dishes.

A skill/hobby I want to learn this year...
I want to expand in terms of what food I make... maybe biryani.

My next vacation/adventure will be in...
Maldives. But I am off to Goa next month. (Again!)
